Accessibility Information
Our centre is fully accessible to all guests. The front entrance is conveniently located near a drop-off area, which can be accessed via the adjacent Spirit Ridge building. Additionally, there is a wheelchair ramp leading from the parking lot.

The building itself is fully wheelchair accessible. For outdoor exploration, our “Living Land” exhibits feature accessible gravel pathways, and there is a 1 km nature trail that leads to the village displays. Some sections, particularly the steeper upper trail with rock crush, may be challenging for motorized wheelchairs or scooters. These areas, along with other accessible and non-accessible trails, are clearly marked on our outdoor trail map.

Guests requiring mobility assistance, including seniors, are welcome to request a golf cart tour if available.

This is the best place to see and learn about in osoyoos. Vacationing in the area growing up, my family and I would return to the centre often. The staff hear are so warm and down to earth. Recently, my partner an I were passing through osoyoos and these folks helped us out immensely. Highly recommend a visit!

Peaceful and enchanting. Wonderful place to visit with family. Educational and unique. Whether it's the sage, ponderosa pine, or the vibrant wildlife (birds, bugs, bighorn sheep, horses, etc.), the Nk'mip (pronounced inkameep) desert is a special place on sacred land. Enjoy the scenic views and beautiful hiking trail.

Give yourself a couple of hours to fully appreciate this gem within the south Okanagan. A serene desert trek with unparalleled views and additional educational installations. It is our responsibility to educate ourselves, and to support descendants of those people in all ways we can.
